Tara is a Solicitor at Avokah Legal, bringing experience across both private practice family law and government child protection litigation. Having represented the Department of Families in the Childrens Court, Tara has developed a strong understanding of the complexities surrounding parenting matters, risk considerations, and the real-world dynamics that impact families in transition. Her work has involved preparing and presenting applications before the Court, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and offering clear, practical advice to clients and stakeholders in high-pressure environments.

Prior to her role in government, Tara worked in private family law where she assisted clients through divorce, parenting and property matters. She prides herself on her ability to communicate clearly and meaningfully with clients, ensuring they feel heard, informed, and supported at every stage of their matter.

Tara’s approach to family law is grounded in empathy, preparation, and a calm, solutions-focused mindset. She understands that separation and family conflict can be emotionally challenging and strives to provide guidance that is both legally sound and personally supportive. Her goal is to help clients navigate difficult circumstances with confidence and clarity.
